This "morale boosting" film from the U.S. government archives during World War II is a fascinating glimpse and vignette on the nuances and perceptions surrounding U.S. relations with China, as often described by many of us, i.e. China Watchers, America Watchers, and Watchers of "China-America Watchers" as a relationship which swings like a pendulum in recent history.
Those "pendulum" mood swings from "euphoria" and "demonization" are demonstrated vividly in our voluminous records in the U.S. as well as in China.
