Consider today's story in California.
With a looming budget crises of Tsunami proportion, expected to hit the roof in a figure estimated to be US$ 14 billion and counting, and I say billions, with a "B", not an "M", not millions, California is reeling from a fiscal crisis which will translate into at least 10,000 public school teachers being fired.
No money for California's public schools. No honey for many of our "soon-to-be-out-of-a job" stressed out public school teachers. Many can't even make living wages, much less teach in classrooms turned zoos.
And here we are, three days ago, California's indolent, insolent, and boorish youths weaned on Hollywood, "American Idol," "The Bachelor," "The Bachelorettte" are doing their "bonk-outs" smoking dope, and clamoring for legalizing marijuana in America.
At the campus of University of California Santa Cruz campus, over 5,000 youths clustered and did a "smoke marijuana" dopefest on April 20, with no action from federal law enforcement; Yesterday, 2,000 students marched to Sacramento, the state's capitol, to protest cuts from the government to fund public education. 5,000 for a dope party ? And only 2,000 for a more urgent issue for the public good ?
Consider that there are exceptions to the bonkheads, among American kids. Those kids with legitimate reasons to be angry against their American pols, especially California pols, Democrats as well as Republicans, who have ran the state of California to the ground with their "special interests" politics and "pay to play" political culture. And our Governator, Arnold Schwazenegger is like most Hollywood actors, including Richard Gere, George Clooney, and Mia Farrow. All talk and armchair activism, Gucci activism. Prada activism. Chic activism.
"Let them eat cake ! Let them eat cake." This appears to be California's politicians who are acting like Marie Antoinette before the French revolution unleashed its massive force to overthrow the rascals of the French upper class in old decaying France wracked by the same problems we are seeing today in California.

And here American youths are hectoring China and the Chinese people about "Free Tibet"? "Save Darfur" ? and "Global Warming" ?
More like "Global Warning" to me; with an "N" instead of an 'M'. Warning rather than Warming.
And here California's governor, Mr. "Hollywood" Arnaudddd and our Madame Speaker Pelosi of the House, "Gucci" activist that she is, has the BO' "audacity" to hector the non-Western world about Global Warming.
More like Global Warning that America's largest state, California, is in decline, and worse, in denial.
"Nous ne sommes pas Californien ! "
