It is very good and revealing, even if the perspectives represented were exclusively that of the CIA and the Tibetan independence movement. (We never heard the Chinese views).
Firstly, the CIA freely admitted its role in training and supporting subversive armed struggles against China throughout late 1940s, 1950s and 1960s and providing logistic and weapons to Tibetan fighters within China.
Secondly, for all Dalai Lama's claims that the Tibetans were peace-loving and non-violent people, the documentary clearly demonstrated the independence movement as a movement devoted to ethnic cleansing and will spare no Chinese who get in the way, including the perverse pleasure of killing Chinese. It is clear that the seeming "Autonomy" that the Dalai Lama espouses is pretextual with the ultimate "I" word, i.e. Independence, to be the goal. And this does not includ Tibet province, but an expansionist "Greater Tibet" minority ethnic groups, of which Tibetan is just one.
Even the Dalai Lama, himself on the CIA payroll, had a hard time explaining the presence of armed resistance and destructive sabotage backed by the CIA.
His Holliness clearly discredited himself. He talks the talk but walks a different Walk; and Do a different Do. "A", i.e. autonomy Talk, but "I", i.e. Independence Walk and Do.
Thirdly, the documentary proves once again that the U.S. will do whatever subversive means to undermine and weaken China, which the U.S. considered its primary enemy. The poor Tibetans, like the Kurds in northern Iraq, the Meos in Vietnam, the Hmongs in Cambodia and the Chinese Nationalists in Taiwan, were the pawns used, expended, and eventually abandoned by the U.S.
One has to feel sorry for these Tibetans in Dharamsala, Nepal. It was only until the US-China detente under President Nixon that the CIA finally ended the subversive activities in China.
In this regard, the aggressor all along was in fact the U.S. and the tools were the Tibetans fighting under the guise of fighting for their religious freedom and resisting Chinese invasion of Tibet in 1951.
If we fast-forward to the present-day situation, 2007-2008, we can see that the Euro, North-American WEST, including the governments in the U.S., UK, France, and Germany, are now aiding and abetting the Tibetans outside of Tibet to take on the Chinese government just like their forefathers from 1940s to 1960s. And from behind the scene, their "dark hands" are evident all throughout the non-Western world. Deja Vu.
In effect, there is nothing they can do except to make lives miserable for themselves and worse, for their collaborators within Tibet. There is no market for sabotage in Tibet. And the attempt to destabilize China using the Beijing Olympics Games 2008 has backfired and unleashed a stiffening and clamor against Western imperialism and bullying within and outside China in the spirit of the May 4th Movement of May 4, 1919.
China is not going to compromise one inch, after what it experienced in the past decades. Any compromise on its territorial sovereignty and integrity, whether Tibet, Xinjiang, or Taiwan, will not be acceptable to the peoples of China, to which the Chinese Central government is ultimately held accountable. It is the laobaixing who are now rising up to defend China.

Since our Johnnys, Janes, Suzie "Woozie Doozies" from America behind "TEAM TIBET-SHANGRI-LA" don't read, can't read, and won't pick up a MAP to find out where TIBET is located, it is probably best to reach them, by simplified "teach-ins" using YouTube, suitable for dummies without basic reading skills.
Tomorrow's quiz, class. "Where's Tibet on the MAP ?" Be prepared. And if you still can't find where darn Tibet is in the goddamn MAP, I will personally wring your neck, regardless of the intercession of the Dalai Lama and the Pope, with or without compassion, harmony, and reconciliation ! Darn it !
