Burning blog posts on S.F. Olympic torch scene

American "bloggers" in the internet are reacting to the fallout from "Fake-Out" of the torch relay which went and passed like a "whirlwind" through San Francisco on April 9, 2009, costing our beloved city at least $ 600,000 in police overtime.

Was the $ 600,000 price tag in San Francisco police overtime worth it for San Franciscans strapped with a deteriorating City Hall budget in the name of free speech and free protest to allow a bunch of unruly screamers do their thing to dramatize their righteous cause in the name of "compassion" as His Holliness hope to achieve in the Western World ?

Was it worth it ? By the way, San Francisco is faced with a US$ 300 million budget shortfall. Our city is close to becoming broke fiscally -- with the meltdown of the U.S. economy. Our roads are full of potholes; we have a homeless population of almost 10,000 who sleeps in our filthy streets at nighttime, with drunks, alchoholics, and mentally-ill vagrants left untreated.

Where's the Dalai Lama's please for compassion and kindness in this side of the globe?
