"Warm Springs" Visit of China's President Hu Juntao to Japan and "Panda Diplomacy" is a signal that China-Japan relations is thawing and normalizing

The enfeebled news coverage from the biased Western news media cannot be more disquieting over China's Hu Juntao's 5-day State Visit to Japan, hosted by Japanese premier Yasuo Fukuda.

The WEST is watching askance on the long-term implications in Asia, with the convergence of mutually beneficial interests of two colossal Asian economies affecting both societies and the peoples of China and Japan, as well as the rest of Asia. Already, China is Japan's # 1 trading partner, no longer the U.S.

To the WEST and Western governments: this signal of an "ice-breaking" trip by China's head of state to Japan cannot be more nerve-wracking. What if Japan and the Japanese decide that their future rest with China and Asia rising, instead of the WEST declining ? What if ?

Emerging China and Japan's enormous technological prowess especially in environmental engineering and energy efficiency serves a synergy which if harnessed well and managed well can usher in a completely new era in Asia-Pacific, free of the bullying and hubris of Western-European interloping and meddling.

Consider that the "Japan which can now say "NO" to America can ultimately decide once and for all that its country and peoples solidly belong to the orbit of the Asia-Pacific region and not be America's "# 1 policeman" to contain China in the East. Click on the British magazine "Economist" spin on the Hu-Fukuda "warm-up."

Is this a signal of a blosomming relationship between China and Japan, with Yasuo Fukuda finally turning the corner after the disastrous reign of "America's boy," former premier Koizumi, who persistently needled China with his repeated visit to the Yasukuni Shrine to honor Japan's war militarists and World War II war criminals.

Consider too the symbolism of the restaurant where Japanese Premier hosted Hu Juntao for a an informal lunch, the very same place where China's founding father, Sun Yat Sen, married his bride, Soong Ching Ling, in 1914 !

The hope is: "what if China and Japan work together in a synergistic and symbiotic manner to further the potential and strengths of each other's respective societies ?"

And further: "what is Taiwan comes back to the fold of "One China" and work together synergistically and symbiotically to enhance the strengths and achieve the fullest potential of a normalized Taiwan Straits, combining the human, brain, and brawn capital of both societies ?"

That said, if achieved, "Who cares about the WEST?"

The possibilities and potential for a "win-win" are indeed titilating !
