More on Hu Jintao's Five (5) Day "Warm Springs" State Visit to Japan - Pregnant with Symbolism while the WEST fumes-meaning of new thaw to all Asians

The symbolism and deep significance of Hu Jintao's 5-day "Warm Springs" state visit this week to Japan, complete with "panda diplomacy" and "ping-pong diplomacy" is as stunning as the Nixon's state visit to China in 1972, and the rapprochment entered between the two societies then between Nixon and Mao Zedong, is now being repeated by Hu Jintao's visit to Japan hosted by Japanese prime minister Yasuo Fukuda.

For many years, the "cadavers" of a historic past have been a "wedge" in hampering a normalization of relations between the Chinese and Japanese peoples. This five-date state visit from China's head of state to Japan is unprecedented and is highly significant and is a major waterwhed in Asia. It is time for the peoples of China and Japan to get back together in friendship, peace, harmony, and mutual benefit.

The "olive branch" could not be more propitious. A Japan which can once and for all can identify with the EAST, instead of serving as a minion and junior partner of the WEST, especially to prick and contain China, is not to the best interest of Japan and the Japanese people. It is time for Japan to turn a new page. And it is time for China, likewise, to make peace with its very important neighbor, Japan.

A Japan which can say "NO" to the WEST and say "YES" to Asia will be a healthier country and stronger country, within the orbit of ASIA during the Pacific Century.

Between 1969-1972, likewise, few would have predicted in 1969 that the new Republican administration of Richard Nixon would initiate a rapprochement between the United States and communist China during his first term as president.

Consider Hu Jintao's initiative and gesture to Japan and the Japanese peoples this week. This is not only "Nixonian;" but also symbolizes that China's relations with Japan, relative to the WEST, will usher in a new dimension which will rock the world.

Not only is there immense possibilities between these two ancient societues, China and Japan, one of positive fit, if combined synergistically.

It is also a signal for Japan to look "EAST" instead of looking "WEST" since the Meiji Restoration era.

This is a major watershed in Asia-Pacific. And all Asians must take the initiative to make it work.

That Japan and the Japanese people did not disrespect nor insult the Chinese people's hosting of the Beijing Olympics Games 2008 underscores a mood which pervaded President Hu's "warm springs" visit to Japan.

The Japanese people were respectfuly; and they accorded China's "head of the state" a warm reception; and they did the right thing.

The earth is flat; and the playing field is now leveling out. And whether or not the WEST chooses to cover the news responsibly or not, it does not matter.

There are alternative sources to the news and nothing but the real news and not through the biased prisms of the biased Western press .
