From the spin being scripted, staged, magnified, and amplified by the mainstream White American news media, including NBC, the NYT, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, and the slew of Whitestream media, you would think that these Beijing Olympics Games were a white man's game.
For one, I am not minamalizing nor taking the thunder out of Michael Phelps spectacular feats at the Cube, swimming like a fish in eight magnificent swimming contests and garnering eight unprecedented Gold in the process.
It is the disproportionality of the coverage which annoys me, and fundamentally reinforces in the minds of many other than Euros and Americans that the Western anglo-news media is intrinsically white supremacist, white-dominated, and tilted towards the Euro-fixated mindset of looking at these Olympics events.
Let's call it for what its is... Johnnys Six Packs and Susie Cupcakes.
Call it the White Man's Tilt. Call it the White Man's myopia. blindsided by a disproportionate attention on their own white man's game.
Sad to say, these Olympics Games in Beijing have seen much more milestones made beyond Michael Phelps stellar achievement of 8 unprecedented Gold Medals.
But let's bot count on the biased Western Anglo-news media to report the story accurately, fairly, and responsibly, because they are neither accurate, fair, nor responsible.
For my, a Huaren, an ethnic Chinese living overseas, these Olympics Games have been seen and viewed with a different perspective, through my "third eye" and filtered through my "third lenses."
Here's some of my random thoughts about my most impressionable imagery this past week:
1. The amazing solidarity and voluntarism emanating from Beijing from over 500,000 youthful Chinese volunteers who have poured their hearts and soul in making Beijing a "user-friendly" and "clean" venue.
Ignore the carping, bad-mouthing, demonization, bashing being spewed by those rabid "pit bulls" from the irresponsible Western news media...... their toxic poison calculated to sabotage, derail, and tarnish these Games cannot be credible and have been seen for they are.... piles of media "cow manure."
Consider that out of this pile of "cow dung," there has flowered a new flower of reawakening among China's peoples, the laobaixing..... that the West, and Westerners, whether they like or hate China, cannot detract, obscure, and sabotage China's quest for renewal, resurgence, and the search for its own path, its own way, its own vision of what its peoples would aim for.
The conclusion is: the West cannot dictate to China and its peoples how to do "its own thing."
2. The "bonding" between the peoples of the Mainland and Taiwan have just been awesome. I can feel the electricity which went on when the mainland's baseball team came head to head with the team from Taiwan.
This was historically epochal.
No one would have anticipated last year that such an event would even have any remote possibility of ever happening.
And it happened.
3. The spectacular Gold medal counts being accumulated by China and its fellow Asian countries from Mongolia, South Korea, Japan, and yes even India and Malaysia.
"Eat your hearts out, Euros and Americans !" That door has been cracked.
These Olympics Games, if nothing else, underscores and highlights the dimming of the Western hegemonistic hold over all spheres of endeavors..... from planning, managing, and staging these Games, from the opening ceremonies, and yes, the athletic competitions.
Let the White People savor the victory of their "Great White Hope," i.e. Michael Phelps. The "Fish" deserves his accolades.
But folks, don't lost perspective..... these Olympics Games is more important in its symbolism.
And that is, i.e. it is no longer exclusively a "White Man's Games."
And it shows in the medal counts. Just click on below to Bloomberg's news with the other angle not being spun by the biased New York Times or Wall Street Journal. Idiots. And worse, White Supremacists.
